Any things you found to help run the Civil War experience?

I am a second year teacher and I have much to learn, but I am loving it.

I am having difficulty distributing civil war points to the kids for daily assignments, and other rigamarole with ease. should the kids do most of it?

Hi Daniel, I have to say that it's been years since I taught the Civil War, but I didn't use Interact because I didn't know about it and I taught 5th graders. I used Scholastic where my students created pieces that related to the most important events to help them understand it. I now use Interact with my 7th graders and when I do use the interact programs I have found that you don't have to use it all. I start with parts and add more a bit at a time and with my own comfort level.
Keep doing what you love and the kids will too!
